HOW DOES SVP HELP CLOSE
THE OPPORTUNITY GAP?
SVP's network of 250+ Partners and organizations provides
grants, capacity building, and connection to support systems change.
We are focused on workforce development, early childhood care and education, and racial equity to eliminate systemic obstables to opportunities so that all Connecticut residents can attain economic security.

OUR APPROACH
Transforming inequities in our society is no small task. SVP engages a diverse set of individuals and organizations that incorporate the perspectives of people most affected by the inequities we seek to eliminate. In doing so, we promote collaboration and partnership between stakeholders.
SVP CAPABILITIES
STRENGTHEN AND SCALE ORGANIZATIONS
Our capacity building work is helping to scale and support some of the leading nonprofits in education and workforce development by drawing upon SVP's Partner talent. Since SVP Connecticut began in 2013, our Partners have given tens of thousands of hours of skilled strategic support and mentoring.
SUPPORT SYSTEMS CHANGE
SVP is committed to systems change at a community and statewide level. SVP supports the Governor's Workforce Council, developing a statewide workforce strategy. Most recently, our systems work expanded to include COVID relief (4-CT), early childhood education and immigrant support. SVP's efforts are aimed at closing the opportunity gap in Connecticut.
CONNECT PARTNERS
SVP Partners scale their social impact by working together and leveraging our relationships with nonprofits, government, and the business community. Partners pool their dollars together to stretch their giving. They gain access to valuable education, learning and skill building opportunities, and build relationships with community members.
