STAMFORD — On Monday, Aug. 29 the Connecticut Office of Workforce Strategy (OWS) held a press conference with Gov. Ned Lamont to celebrate the launch of the Tech Talent Accelerator.
The Tech Talent Accelerator is a statewide partnership between the state's colleges and universities, workforce and economic development offices, and private businesses. The Tech Talent Accelerator’s million-dollar investment over the next three years will leverage the Business Education Higher Education Forum (BHEF) to consult with seven higher education institutions, including the Connecticut community colleges, to redesign and align their tech programs with the IT talent demands of Connecticut businesses.
SVP will work to support BHEF in connecting state employers to the grantee institutions through the ongoing facilitation of the state's two regional sector tech partnerships.
